Can I say thank you? - Poem

There’s someone who wraps you warm in their arms,
Brings a smile to your lips even when you’re tired,
Sends you messages to tell you you’re wanted,
They’re a reason you’re still living

They’re ones to punch the one, who let go of you,
And take your tears onto their shoulders,
And tell you there “more fish in the sea,
And they be on the one to look at you and that be all they’ll see.”

They’re the one, to bring a movie or two,
So you stay up late to the crack of dawn,
Fizzy drinks and popcorn to share,
It be a luxury you both care
For every second is a memory for two

There never be a better pair,
For no matter the time not talked,
You find a place to catch up, you never have to dare
Worry of losing this human being

For a friend so close and dear,
You could never lose this one,
who stitched up your heart each year,
and brought happiness to you’re life,
can I say one thank you, deep in my soul just for you?
