You had decided on the Saturday to study and read in the school library to get away from your empty room, your room mate was rarely ever there besides when she sleeps.  As much you liked the silences sometimes it came to over bearing when your left in it too long, so this why you wanted to get out for a bit, with other people around.

Slipping in, you walked around the many tall bookshelves, smiling at some of the crinkle books which had lived so long seemed very much loved for.  You had come to love picking out new books and completing them in the week, being usually on your own you have come to find time to read them very regularly, to give away from the almost non-existing social life, through if this got boring. You’ll pick up your 4DS and play your favourite titles, another get away from the usually quietness in your life.

Book in hand, you started to read the chapter to see if it catch you before even thinking of sitting down. As you passed through the chapters, you start to notice a soft warm chuckle to your left. Looking up from your seat on floor, when did you get there?  You saw Satch from normal boots, smiling at you before asking you if it okay to sit beside you.
Nodding , slightly shocked he’ll want to join you in your odd past time.  “You know, this probably isn’t the best routine.” He stated, as his eyes glance over you in concern, of course, you forgot he also worked here.  Putting the book down on your lap, you merely shrugged, it not like you had anything else to do.

Through you thought to be cheeky, “I just have fun waiting for the librarian to kick me out.” You told him,  “She hates me dusting her floors for her.”  

He chuckled at that, before shaking his head, “That can’t be the real reason?” he questioned.

Sighing, you knew you couldn’t lie to him, “I don’t have anyone to hang with so, I find other ways to spend my time.”

His eyes shone shock, he could not believe you. Being seen being nice to your classmates, helping others, he couldn’t believe you had no friend to call your own.  “You must be kidding.” He commented, you only smiled in return.

“Even as a joke, that is still the truth.” You replied, as you slipped your bookmark into the book. Glancing up to the other, your eyes shone your loneliness as you picked yourself up. “People do not always make friends right away and instead find only friend is themselves, it’s common practice.”  With that you started to head towards the counter, through a hand clasp your arm.

“Then if so, that would mean your free this weekend right?” his lips curving into a smile. You nodded as you waited for him to continue, “Would you like to join the normal boots in a night of gaming?”

You felt your cheeks go red, deep emotions filled you. It had felt forever since the last time someone asked you to join in some sort of event, you shook as you felt someone walk to the front of you. Their hands squeezed your shoulder in comfort, slowly opening your lips you let the words sputter out. “Yes, that be nice, no, great… Thank you.”

Lips in turn smile up at Satch, his eyes showed concern but a spark of happiness of accepting the deal. “Great, it this Saturday at 5pm. Now lets book out that book for you, so you can finish your homework.” He told you as he patted your shoulder once more and walked ahead for you to follow.

This couldn’t be happening. You had been barely noticed unless someone wanted something out of you, you had been seen like a ghost to your classmate, so how did Satch see you?
“Aaaaw, Hobbiting Tales is a brilliant book; I’m quite surprised to see someone else hold interest in things as fantasy worlds.”  He commented behind his desk, as you shook yourself out of your thoughts.

“Its, one of my favourites.” You said as you pass the book to him, he smile as he quickly book the book out. It hadn’t been the first book to take out through oddly enough you had always caught the librarian to book it out. “I like the idea of world with mystic creatures and magic, through I do like an random romantic story every so often.”

He chuckled, “Yes it great to escape every so often. This is a great book for that, may I also suggest to read the never ending page?” he said as passed the book back to you.

“Already read and seen the films too many times.” You replied, “Any other suggestions?”

He smiled in turn and quickly the day passed as you talked about different books, finding a small handful you had yet to read. Through in return you have given him a few to read too. “It be best if I walk you back to your dorm, as it very late. Let me lock up.”

Looking down at your watch, you can see it was 10pm.  “Oh dear, no need. I’m sorry for distracting you all this time, this my fault.” You said as you panicked, you knew how rude and strict the librarian can be like.

He shook his head, “No it fine, it’s a nice change of pace for once, the others do not stay long and it gets boring very easily.”  He confessed as he picked up his stuff and locked the desk. He smiled at you to follow which you complied, as you left the library to the dark night.

“Then I’m happy to give you company.” You smiled, even through you still felt very guilty. He chuckled again, as he locked up. “It not your fault, so stop giving me those puppy eyes.” He replied, as with one more click, you were walking towards your dorm.

You stopped to look up at the stars and the clear sky, “This is lovely.”  

“Yes, definitely is.” You heard beside you, looking back to side you can see soft eyes watch you, letting the heat once again cruel up your cheeks, “come on, we don’t want to get in trouble.” He said as he nudged you.

Nodding, you once dropped off outside your dorm. “Thank you.” You told him, hugging the book close to you. He smiled in return and waved before walking away, finding your voice quickly “See you next Saturday!”

He chuckled loudly and agreed. This definitely  a great start of a friendship, maybe more
